Lodging

This summer we are offering a number of lodging options for our participants. Please read our options carefully!

  1. On-Campus Dormitory (Double)
  2. On-Campus Dormitory (Single)
  3. Comfort Inn in St. Johnsbury (Doubles)
  4. Burke Mountain Hotel (Doubles and Families)

Option 1 – On-Campus Dormitories (Doubles): Many participants choose to stay in Academy dormitories. Rooms are functional but not luxurious, and are equipped with a desk, chair, bed and chest of drawers for each participant. (Think, your dorm freshman year in college.) Linens and towels are provided. There are shower stalls in all dorms (sorry, no bathtubs) and rooms do not have bathrooms attached. The dorms are not air-conditioned; we suggest that participants bring a small window fan if the weather calls for heat or humidity.

Each dorm has at least one common area in which to relax and laundry facilities for participants to use.

The majority of the on-campus accommodations are doubles. The price of housing and all meals is included in the $1395 tuition.

Option 2 – On-Campus Dormitories (Singles): We offer a limited number of single accommodations. If you would like a singleton-campus  room, please indicate so during the registration period.

Singles are an additional $200 per session. The cost for housing, meals, and a single room is $1595.

Option 3 – The Comfort Inn in St. Johnsbury (Doubles): We have reserved a number of rooms at the Comfort Inn in St. Johnsbury. These rooms are double occupancy (queen size beds) and offer our participants more refined sleeping accommodations (air conditioning and daily room service). The Comfort Inn is minutes from campus, and we will run a shuttle to and from campus in the morning and afternoon.

Should you select this option, we will assign you a roommate (unless you request one).

The cost of this option is  an additional $250 per session. Total cost for this option, including all meals, and workshop tuition is $1645 (without meals the cost is $1545).

Option 4 – Burke Mountain Hotel (Doubles):  We have a number of rooms reserved at Burke Mountain Hotel, the region’s newest and most luxurious hotel. The hotel is located 25 minutes from campus and offers a number of amenities, including well appointed kitchens, air conditioning, and proximity to Kingdom Trails, Lake Willoughby, Crystal Lake, and other North East Kingdom destinations.

Should you select this option, we will assign you a roommate (unless you request one).

The cost of this option is an additional $350 per session. Total cost for this option, including all meals, and workshop tuition is $1745 (without meals the cost is $1645).

If you desire single or family accommodations at either the Comfort Inn or Burke Mountain Hotel, you will need to contact them directly for rate and availability.
